Moissanite, in its natural form, is very rare. There is essentially no natural supply for this stone. As the natural material is very scarce lab-grown moissanite is the only commercially viable version of the mineral. Moissanite is regarded as an excellent fine jewel; its ethical production makes it a popular alternative to diamonds.
