What You Should Know About Selecting Real Jewelry by Alpha Team

Height and Bone Structure

The most important rule a buyer must rememeber when buying jewelry is buy what you like, because beauty will last a lifetime.

Petite (Under 5'4")

Necklaces
Petite women best wear collar-length or longer necklaces, with a V style shape that fall below the breast and above the waist to elongate the figure.

Bracelets
Narrow bangles are more flattering to petite women that wide ones, because they are more proportion to the petite's overall size.

Earrings
Styles that sweep upward pull the viewer's eye up. Full-figure petites look especially good in sharp, geometric shapes.

Average (5'4"-5'7")

Necklace
Can wear any length necklace, unless she is a full-figured. In that case, she should avoid necklaces that rest on the brestline.

Bracelets
Wide bracelets are more proportion to the average-height woman that very narrow ones.

Earrings
Average-height women should be considered in connection with face shape and hair style. The choices are endless.

Tall (Over 5'7")

Necklaces
Almost any length goes well. Tall, thin woman may prefer wearing chokers to de-emphasize height.

Bracelets
The tall woman has a wide ranges of bracelets choices as long as she avoids small and delicate pieces. The full-figure woman should wear several thin bracelets together to give it a more balanced feeling.

Earring
Long dangling earrings are more flatterings because, there is plenty of space between the ear lobe and shoulder.

Face Shapes

Oval
Any shape necklace will work with oval. Round shapes, button or hoop earrings look well on the oval face, but not triangular.

Round
To give dimension of length, look fore long necklaces, 28" to 32". Squares, oblong and rectangles work well as do dangling and angular designs.

Rectangular
A high choker reduce the length than width, Also, a 16" or 18" necklace that ends in a U flatters the face.

Heart-Shape
A choker is a favorite style because it softens and diminishes the sharp angle of the chin. Look for earrings that are wider at the bottom that the top. Dangling and triangle shape earrings are especially flattering.
